Mnemonics SeaPort-e Quality Assurance

Managing Change
Mnemonics Technical Services Division's process-driven approach provides a stable foundation of proven processes and tools that are built to address and systematically manage changes through the course of the project. Requirements management and change management ensure that all team members are aware of the changes and are using the correct versions of all work products. Documented processes and procedures enable the workforce to execute consistently from task to task and from individual to individual.

Monitoring and Maximizing Quality
CMMI practices are founded on quality. Using CMMI best practices as a basis, quality begins with the proposal and ends with a satisfied Client. Our engineering processes emphasize documenting requirements, extensive design documentation, managing and controlling change, and quality standards. The Team will use proven Quality Control techniques, such as walkthroughs, inspections, and formal reviews to identify and resolve quality defects in a proactive manner. To manage work product integrity, the Team will implement CMMI-compliant change management and version control principles that emphasize ongoing documentation and communications as the best way to identify and remediate any problems before they impact schedules, resources, or performance. These are key elements of the Mnemonics Quality Assurance Process.

The process is built upon an overall methodology which involves all key parties and provides a high level of visibility into the quality of the deliverables. This program is implemented on any government contract that requires a QA Program.

Mnemonics and/or our teammates will prepare a Quality Assurance plan structured around the scope of each task order. Each plan will be approved by Mnemonics management and submitted to the government consistent with the requirements of the task order.

Guaranteeing Customer Responsiveness and Cooperation
The Mnemonics Team's organizational structure provides an efficient and effective management architecture that meets or exceeds the requirements for work assignments and tasks. Mnemonics flat organizational structure reflects our emphasis on ongoing communications between the customer and our project team.

While clear lines of reporting are established within the team, our staff is encouraged to work as partners with all project-related personnel involved in the success of the project. Technical experts and corporate leaders from each teaming partner will provide guidance to the Team as a whole, and will be available to participate in project reviews or to discuss the customer's emerging needs. A thorough Requirements Development process is used to clearly define the project requirements for all involved stakeholders.

The Mnemonics Team's Program Manager assigned to the task order will oversee all project activities, will monitor economic, finance, regulatory, and business issues, and will be the primary point of contact for contractual issues with the customer. Our other personnel will provide guidance, management, and expertise across all functional areas of the project.

Problem Resolution
Our Team creates a risk awareness culture that embraces customer participation, meets individual and specific program challenges, adapts to changes and evolving requirements, and responds favorably to uncertainties. Our main lesson learned in multiple task order, performance-based contracts is that there is no substitute for first-hand experience.

Risk assessments are an important quality control (QC) component. Through our risk management approach, the Mnemonics Team will identify and mitigate project risks early in the development cycle, enabling us to remain on schedule and within budget without compromising product or program quality.

When engaging in risk mitigation efforts, our Team will receive assistance as required from the combined organizations. As summarized below, we routinely anticipate common risks. We have incorporated common mitigation approaches that have proven successful on similar engagements into our management plan.
